In most cases, yes — return freight shipping is the customer's responsibility.
Why Return Shipping Costs Matter
Engines and transmissions are heavy freight items. Return shipping is handled via LTL/truck freight, and the cost can be significant depending on your location and the weight of the part. This is something to consider before placing an order.
When the Customer Pays Return Freight
- Standard returns: Customer is responsible for return freight costs.
- Wrong parts ordered due to customer error: Customer pays return freight. Note that parts ordered incorrectly or due to misdiagnosed vehicle issues are non-refundable.
- Cancellations after processing: A 25% restocking fee applies and shipping costs are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
When We Cover Return Freight
The exception is an authorized warranty replacement. If we determine that a part is defective and approve a warranty claim, we cover the return freight shipping costs. This is handled on a case-by-case basis through our warranty process.
