To protect your transmission warranty, avoid the following conditions. These apply to both remanufactured and used transmissions (where applicable).
CONDITIONS THAT VOID YOUR WARRANTY
- Improper installation — the transmission must be installed correctly by a qualified technician at a licensed shop
- Used for racing or competition of any kind
- Operated without proper lubrication or cooling
- Core not returned (for remanufactured transmissions) — the failed unit must be returned within 30 days of receiving your replacement
- Transmission disassembled without written authorization from us
- Not installed within 14 business days of delivery (used transmissions)
- Not re-flashed or re-programmed where required by the vehicle — this is a non-negotiable requirement
- Vehicle modified outside of factory specifications
- Falsifying any information submitted in connection with a warranty claim

When in doubt, call us before doing anything that could affect your coverage. Pre-authorization is required before any warranty work begins — repairs made without prior approval will not be reimbursed.
