Your used engine warranty has clear requirements. The following conditions will void coverage. Review this list carefully — most of these situations are avoidable with proper planning.
CONDITIONS THAT VOID YOUR WARRANTY
- Not installed within 14 business days of delivery — the installation deadline is firm, with no exceptions
- Not installed by a Licensed Automotive Repair Facility (LARF) — unlicensed shops and DIY installations void the warranty
- Engine disassembled without written authorization from us
- Used for racing or competition of any kind
- Vehicle modified outside factory specifications
- Heat tabs missing or melted upon return — heat tabs confirm whether the engine overheated during use
- Falsifying any information submitted in connection with a warranty claim
- Damage caused by overheating or lack of lubrication
- Warranty work performed without pre-authorization — you must contact us before any repair begins
- Documentation not submitted within 5 business days of initiating a claim
