Every used engine sold by Expedia Parts comes with parts-only warranty coverage. Here's a full breakdown of what's covered, for how long, and what you need to know.
WARRANTY COVERAGE BY ENGINE TYPE
- Personal use vehicles, 2001 and newer: 5 years / 50,000 miles (parts only)
- Personal use vehicles, 2000 and older: 3 years / 36,000 miles (parts only)
- Commercial vehicles: 18 months / 36,000 miles (parts only)
- Diesel engines: 12 months / 12,000 miles (parts only)
All coverage is parts only. There is no labor reimbursement on used engine warranty claims.
WHAT'S COVERED
The warranty covers internal engine components only:
- Engine block
- Cylinder heads
- Pistons and rings
- Crankshaft
- Camshaft
- Rocker arms
- All other internal engine components
WHAT'S NOT COVERED
The following items are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:
- Sensors and switches
- Turbocharger
- Electronics and wire harnesses
- Belts and hoses
- Intake and exhaust manifolds
- Flywheel
- Valve covers
- Gaskets and seals
- Oil pan
- Any accessories left on the block for convenience
IMPORTANT: INSTALLATION DEADLINE
Your used engine must be installed within 14 business days of delivery. Waiting longer than 14 business days will void your warranty — no exceptions. Plan your installation in advance, and contact us right away if there are any shipping delays or issues upon arrival.
